Privacy policy

Updated September 7, 2026. Relayyy is operated by Brandon Pitzen. This policy covers the Relayyy iPhone and iPad app and relayyy.app.

Team and race information

Relayyy stores the teams, runners and races you create. Optional roster details include names, email addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, estimated 10K times, clothing sizes, payment status and race registration status. Timing records include race splits and runner names. Only add someone else's contact details with their permission.

Identity and sharing

The app uses a device identifier stored in the Keychain and an automatically created Firebase account to synchronize data. These identifiers can be linked to your roster profile and race activity. The device identifier may survive reinstalling the app.

Google Firebase stores shared rosters, race information, account identifiers and device presence. Anyone with a team invitation can join and access the shared team information. Nearby handoff transfers race information directly between participating devices. Treat team codes, invitations and exported race data as private.

Maps and permissions

Mapbox provides interactive maps and processes map requests and usage telemetry. When you choose to show your location, the app requests location access while you use it. Relayyy does not track your location in the background. Mapbox's map information and attribution control provides a telemetry opt-out.

See Mapbox's privacy policy for its handling of location, device and usage information, and Firebase's privacy information for Google's processing.

The camera scans QR codes for team joining and nearby handoff. The app does not upload camera images or collect face data. Local Network permission supports nearby device connections.

Website and support

If you join the website waitlist, we store your email address to send Relayyy updates. Website account and session information supports the web console. Hosting and service providers may process request information, including IP addresses, to operate and secure the service. Messages and diagnostic files you choose to send to support are used to investigate your request. Review files before sending them.

Retention and deletion

App data is stored on your device for offline use. Shared data and archived races remain on the server until deleted. Removing a team from one device or uninstalling the app does not delete the shared team or its Firebase account.

In the app, open Team, then Privacy & Support, and choose Delete Account & Data. Deletion removes your guest account, claimed runner profiles, private race history, and data saved on your device. Shared teams keep their other runners and timing results. Teams and races with no remaining members are deleted. The app lets you check completion without visiting this website.

We retain non-public deletion receipts and non-identifying technical markers to complete interrupted requests and prevent erased data from being restored.

Contact hello@relayyy.app about privacy, access, correction, or website and waitlist data deletion.

Advertising and changes

Relayyy does not sell personal data or use advertising identifiers to track you across other companies' apps and websites. We will update this page when our data practices change.
